Reliance Retail’s flagship fashion apparel retail chain Reliance Trends is preparing to make its debut on marketplaces of Amazon and Flipkart in a bid to expand its business beyond its network of stores and its own e-commerce site. Reliance Trends is expected to launch its products on Flipkart and Amazon in the coming months, according to two people familiar with the matter.“They primarily run a private brand operation and that is the base of that business and it makes sense to go to marketplaces,” said a person familiar with Reliance Trends’ plans for marketplaces. “I would say they are away by a few months... By the end of this season or early next season they should be online (on marketplaces).”
