India has become one of Toyota Motor Corp's top 10 markets globally, overtaking Saudi Arabia, thanks to the popularity of its Innova Crysta multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) and other models, and is expected to rise higher up the rankings for Japan's largest car maker. "India was number 11 in 2017 - it broke into the top 10 markets in the world for Toyota in 2018. We foresee that it can potentially break into the top three markets in the future," said Masakazu Yoshimura, who recently took over as managing director at the India unit, Toyota Kirloskar. "We need to focus on our customers and ensure that we offer them the right products to participate in this growth." He was speaking on the sidelines of the launch of new Camry hybrid (priced at 36.95 lakh ex-showroom).
