Inflows into multi cap funds decline for five months

The multi-cap fund category has seen a declining interest in the recent months. According to data from the Association of Mutual Funds in India, the net inflows in the category has declined consistently for five consecutive months – from Rs 3,560 crore in September 2025 to Rs 1,995 crore in January 2026. The category’s investment mandate requires a minimum of 75% investment in equity and equity-related instruments and a minimum of 25% investment in each of large, mid and small cap segments.
