Euro Zone Consumer Confidence Rises to -19.0 in May

Euro ?zone consumer ?confidence rose ?by 1.6 points ?in May ?from ?the ?April number, figures released on ?Thursday showed. The European Commission ?said a flash estimate ?showed ?euro zone ?consumer morale ?increased to -19.0 this ?month ?from -20.6 in April. Economists polled ?by Reuters had expected a fall to -20.8. In ?the European Union as a whole, consumer sentiment rose by 1.7 points ?to -18.2.
