Coal India-arm NCL output rises 67%, supplies by 75% as rains ease

Coal India arm Northern Coalfields Ltd has increased coal production as monsoon rains ease, with daily output increasing by 67 per cent to 0.30 million tonnes (MT) and supplies up 75 per cent to 0.35 MT on September 8, the company said. The September 8 figures compare with rain-affected daily averages of 0.18 MT for production and 0.20 MT for supplies recorded during September 1 to September 3.
