Sebi eases KYC norms for NRIs, OCIs and foreign nationals, allows digital onboarding from overseas

The Securities and Exchange Board of India Wednesday relaxed Know Your Client (KYC) requirements for non-resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) and foreign nationals, allowing them to complete the onboarding process digitally from overseas. The move is aimed at reducing compliance requirements for overseas investors seeking to access the securities markets.
