The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has come out with eight circulars, including guidelines on GST registration, raising tax demands and export payments, in line with the decisions taken at the GST Council meeting earlier this month. The guidelines dated October 26 on GST registration contain a list of documents required to be submitted by the applicants and formats of consent letter, affidavits and undertaking, along with FAQs – thus reducing the requirement of seeking clarification or additional documents by the tax officers from the applicants during the processing of the registration applications.
