Artificial intelligence (AI) is helping support global economic growth, but it is also putting pressure on the entry-level jobs that young people depend on to begin their careers. International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva has warned that the technology could make it harder for young workers to find their first jobs. Speaking at a panel in Bangkok on Monday, Georgieva described AI as a “tsunami” for jobs. Thailand is hosting the IMF-World Bank Annual Meetings from October 12 to 18.
