SBI Research sees CPI inflation at 5.65% in Sept, above 6.5% in Oct-Nov

SBI Research expects CPI inflation to rise to around 5.65 per cent in September and cross 6.5 per cent in October and November, before easing below 6 per cent in early 2027. In its pre-Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) report released on Friday, SBI Research said the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) may raise the policy repo rate by at least 25 basis points at its October 5-7 monetary policy meeting, citing rising inflation, global risks and pressure on the rupee.
