India-Jordan trade: Sitharaman seeks deeper ties, $5 billion target by 2030

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday met Jordan's Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Zeina Zeid Toukan on the sidelines of the AIIB 2026 Annual Meeting in Doha, with the two sides discussing ways to deepen bilateral cooperation, particularly in food security, fertilisers, trade and investment. Sitharaman noted that India is Jordan's fourth-largest trading partner and highlighted the target of taking bilateral trade to $5 billion by 2030.
