The United States accounted for more than half of India’s software services exports in FY26, with exports to the country rising 11% to $119.7 billion, according to Reserve Bank of India data released on September 18. The US share increased to 54.1 percent from 52.9 percent in FY25, reinforcing its position as the biggest overseas market for India’s technology services companies. The latest share, however, is not a new high. It stood at 54.1 percent in FY24 before declining the following year. India’s overall software services exports, excluding sales by overseas affiliates of Indian companies, rose 8.2 percent to $221.4 billion in FY26, the RBI’s annual survey showed.
