Mutual fund SIP inflows rise to record Rs 32,297 crore in August; stoppage ratio moderates
10-Sep-2026
SIP flows rose marginally to Rs 32,297 crore in August, compared with Rs 31,961 crore in July, according to data released by the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI). The August SIP contribution was the highest recorded so far, surpassing the previous high of Rs 32,087 crore recorded in March and Rs 31,781 crore. The SIP stoppage ratio moderated to 81.1 percent in August from 81.8 percent in July, as the number of new SIP registrations continued to remain higher than SIPs that were closed, matured or discontinued during the month. The stoppage ratio is calculated by dividing the number of SIPs that matured or were discontinued during the month by the number of new SIPs registered.
