India's exports grew around 15 percent in the April-July period this fiscal, commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal said on August 12, highlighting the resilience of the country's external sector amid global trade uncertainty. For the June quarter, merchandise and services exports were estimated at $232.73 billion, an 11.37 percent increase over the year-ago period, while total imports rose 17.55 percent to $270.15 billion. Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the Bharatiya Vyapar Mahotsav 2026, Goyal said India now has preferential access to around $25 trillion of international trade following the expansion of its FTA network.
