India, Uzbekistan could explore FTA, says Piyush Goyal; Uzbekistan invites Indian investment in mining, rare earths

India and Uzbekistan should aim to double their bilateral trade to around $3 billion over the next three years, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said on Monday, while also indicating that the two countries could explore a free trade agreement (FTA) to deepen economic ties. Meanwhile, the Uzbekistan delegation also invited India to step up investments in the mining and rare earths sector.
