India’s engineering goods exports recorded strong growth in June, rising 21% year-on-year to $11.48 billion, as demand from key markets including China, the United States, Germany and Oman helped the sector remain resilient amid disruptions to global shipping routes. The latest data from the Engineering Export Promotion Council of India (EEPC India) comes at a time when exporters face higher freight, insurance and transit costs following disruptions in the Red Sea and the Strait of Hormuz.
