27-Jul-2026

Indian government bonds surged at the start of the week, erasing losses from the previous week, after crude oil prices tumbled following a pause in U.S.-Iran strikes over the weekend, boosting hopes for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict. The benchmark 6.94% 2036 bond yield was at 6.7767%, as of 10:15 a.m. IST, down from a closing level of 6.8253% on Friday, when it notched a second consecutive weekly rise.
