SEBI updates FPI, FVCIs norms: Registration fee structure to be rupee-dominated

The fee structure for Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) and Foreign Venture Capital Investors (FVCIs) has been replaced by Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), news agency PTI said, citing a notification by the markets regulator. As per the notification the registration fee for overseas investors will be in a rupee-dominated structure. Prior to this amendment, the fee structure for FPIs and FCVIs was US-dollar denominated, the PTI report added.
