Iran has outlined the terms under which foreign vessels may pass through the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most strategically vital maritime chokepoints, a Bloomberg report stated. In a letter circulated to the International Maritime Organization (IMO) on Tuesday, Tehran said non-hostile ships could benefit from safe passage, provided they comply with Iranian security regulations and do not support acts of aggression against the country.
