India-US trade deal will have an impact on the Indian Rupee, however, the extent would depend on the details of the pact, Reserve Bank of India Governor Sanjay Malhotra said on Friday. "Now the trade deal will be signed. So what will be the impact of this trade deal It will depend on the details of the trade deal," Malhotra said, noting that the Indian currency appreciated by about 1.5 Rupees per dollar after the announcement. Rupee has depreciated by approximately 5.4 per cent against the US dollar between April 1, 2025 and January 15, 2026.
