India’s forex reserves up by $14.17 billion to $701.36 billion as of January 16

India’s foreign exchange reserves surged to $701.36 billion in the week ended January 16, 2026, according to data released by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). This marks a jump of $14.17 billion over the previous week. In the previous recorded data for week ending January 9, the reserves stood at $687.19 billion.
