India’s forex reserves up by $392 million to $687.19 billion as of January 9

India’s foreign exchange reserves jumped by $392 million to $687.19 billion in the week ended January 9, 2026, according to data released by the Reserve Bank of India on Friday. In the previous recorded data for week ending January 2, the reserves had noticed a sharp drop by by $9.809 billion to $686.801 billion, central bank data showed.
