India bonds extend losses before heavy debt supply

Indian government bonds slipped in early deals on Friday, with traders turning cautious ahead of a weekly debt auction and as the central bank's bond-buying has remained focused on less-traded securities. The benchmark 10-year yield was at 6.6692% as of 10:30 a.m. IST. It ended at 6.6498% on Wednesday. The debt market was shut on Thursday for a local holiday.
