India and Canada will resume discussions on a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) next week, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said on Friday, marking a significant thaw in bilateral ties following two years of diplomatic strain. Speaking at FICCI’s 98th Annual General Meeting, Goyal confirmed the renewed engagement, stating: “Canada and India are looking at CEPA. Next week, they are going to kickstart conversations around that.”
