India’s fiscal deficit stood at Rs 8.25 lakh crore, $92.26 billion in the April to October period. The fiscal deficit was at 52.6 per cent of the estimates for the financial year 2025-26. As per the government data, the net tax receipts declined to Rs 12.74 lakh crore during April-October, from Rs 13.05 lakh crore collected in the same period a year ago. However, The Non-tax revenue during the period increased to Rs 4.89 lakh crore compared with Rs 4 lakh crore in the corresponding period of the last fiscal year.
