As India progresses in digital banking and financial inclusion, the India Post Payments Bank has emerged as one of the largest financial inclusion initiatives globally. Since its inception, the bank has been using the network of over 1.64 lakh post offices and nearly 2 lakh postmen; it has been a silent game changer. Today, Indian Post Payments Bank’s network has expanded to 1,65,000 post offices of India and has a customer base of more than 12 crore, of whom 80 per cent are from rural India and 59 per cent are women.
