India-US trade deal can boost exports by 64%, lift GDP by 0.6%: Report

A broad trade deal between India and the US could give a big boost to India’s exports and manufacturing capacity, helping the country’s economy grow steadily in the long run, according to a new Bloomberg Economics report. The US, currently India’s largest export destination accounting for 19.3% of outbound goods, could see imports from India nearly double over the next decade if a broad trade deal is signed.
