Coal India Ltd (CIL) on Wednesday released its fiscal fourth quarter earnings report with profit at Rs 9604.02 crore, surpassing estimates. This was up 12.04 per cent as against Rs 8572.14 crore recorded during the corresponding quarter of FY24. It posted revenue from operations at Rs 37,824.54 crore, down 1.02 per cent as against Rs 38,213.48 crore reported during the fourth quarter of previous financial year. The company EBITDA stood at Rs 11,790 crore. According to a CNBC TV18 poll, Coal India was expected to post Q4 profit at Rs 7678 crore and revenue for the quarter in review was estimated at Rs 37,389 crore.
