For India and Pakistan, much has changed since the horrific attack in Pahalgam’s Baisaran Valley on April 22, 2025. Terrorists, including three Pakistani nationals, killed 26 tourists, plunging the two countries into a dangerous standoff. Claimed by the so-called Resistance Front, a Lashkar-e-Taiba proxy, the attack prompted India to suspend the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty (IWT), shut the Attari-Wagah border, expel Pakistani diplomats, and ban Pakistani nationals.
