A high-level committee on regulatory reforms in the non-financial sector will soon begin its work to improve ease of doing business as announced in the Budget 2025-26, Finance Secretary and Economic Affairs Secretary Ajay Seth said on Saturday. The panel, announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the Budget, will review rules, certifications, licences, and permissions to improve ease of doing business. Sitharaman had stated that the committee would submit recommendations within a year.
