India is likely to undertake another round of import duty cuts ahead of April 2, people familiar with the matter said. US President Donald Trump's threatened reciprocal tariffs announcement is expected that day against trading partners who, he says, have been "ripping off" his country by imposing high levies. The government is now drawing up a list of products that are very specific to the US as this round of cuts, outside of the proposed trade agreement, will be on most favoured nation (MFN) basis, implying the reduced duty would apply to all MFN imports of those products.
