Putting back on track the biggest bankruptcy resolution in the power sector involving Adani Power's Rs 27,000-crore for the 1,800-MW KSK Mahanadi project, the Supreme Court on Monday set aside the Telangana High Court’s order that deferred the insolvency proceedings against the debt-laden company before the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal. A Bench led by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud said that the HC had no jurisdiction to direct deferment of corporate insolvency resolution process (CIRP) of KSK Mahanadi Power (KMP) and also asking for consolidation of insolvency proceedings of the thermal power company and its two subsidiaries - KSK Water Infrastructure (KWI) and Raigarh Champa Rail Infrastructure (RCRI).
