The artillery for almost all key central banks has been to hike rates and thereby compress demand, even though nations, like India, are fighting hard for growth recovery. A Reuters report today said citing unnamed sources that New Delhi is in no hurry to push inflation back to the mandated 2-6 percent as it fears aggressive rate hikes may impact growth.
