Realty major DLF aims a 30 per cent jump in its sales bookings to Rs 4,000 crore this fiscal, as the company expects a rise in housing demand despite the COVID-19 pandemic. The company will launch various projects, comprising 8 million square feet of saleable area, to tap this growing demand for residential properties, especially those built by trusted developers. In a conference call with analysts, DLF's new CEO Ashok Kumar Tyagi gave sales bookings guidance of Rs 1,000 crore per quarter during the current financial year. During the financial year 2020-21, DLF sold residential properties worth Rs 3,084 crore, up 24 per cent from the previous year, despite muted sales in April-June 2020 due to a nationwide lockdown.
